Alfredo Morelos tests positive for Covid as Rangers star goes into isolation while serving in Colombia
The Colombian FA has confirmed that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos returned a positive Covid test.
The Ibrox star is in the squad for the World Cup and Copa America qualifiers this month after a successful Premiership campaign,
However, the governing body released a statement confirming that Morelos and one of the physios on the team had tested positive for the virus.
The Rangers man will now go through self-isolation protocols ahead of a busy game list, but he is reported to be “in good health” by the FA.

A statement read: “Technical staff of the Colombian senior male team reports that, following biosafety protocols, RT PCR tests were performed and two positive cases for Covid-19 were found, player Alfredo Morelos and kinesiologist José Rendón.
“After having known the positive results, according to the protocols, the respective isolation of the two people was carried out, who for the moment are in good health.”
