Chiranjeevi recalls an angry Salman telling the godfathers to “get lost” before filming; here’s why

Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan team up for upcoming Telugu movie Godfather. The Bollywood actor has a cameo role in the film and also appears to have filmed for it before. While the cameo was confirmed a while ago, the Telugu superstar has now revealed that Salman Khan didn’t charge anything for the role. If that wasn’t all, he also got angry when the producers approached him to discuss the payment.

Speaking to Film Companion, Chiranjeevi revealed he personally approached Salman Khan and the Bollywood superstar agreed to be part of the film within minutes.

“When my producers went to him and offered him a certain amount, not knowing how much it was, he said, ‘You can’t buy my love towards Ram and Chiranjeevi garu with money. Get lost,” added Chiranjeevi. The actor called Salman his family’s “best friend” and added that he “respects us all and the same way we respect him so much”.

On Saturday, the trailer for the Hindi version of Godfather was released. The trailer launch was attended by Salman and Chiranjeevi. Speaking at the event, Salman revealed that while he will star in Chiranjeevi’s film, Telugu superstar’s son Ram Charan will be seen in Salman’s upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Speaking at the event, Salman revealed, “I was filming with Venky (actor Venkatesh) in Hyderabad when Ram Charan came to see me. He told me he wanted to be in the movie and I said no. He then said, “Sir, I want to be with you and Mr. Venky in the same frame.” I thought he was joking. The next day, he came to the set with his van and his costumes and was waiting for us. I said to him: ‘We love you and we also want you to be in the film, but are you OK to be here?’ He said yes.”
