Hospitality Workspace Design Trends • Hotel Designs
To aptly close Hotel Designs LIVE, which took place on May 11, Editor-in-Chief Hamish Kilburn returned to the screen to present the final topic of the day. Having already hosted roundtables on the same day around the new era of lifestyle, unconventional bathrooms and the celebration of out of frame art, the fourth and final discussion amplified an ever-evolving topic, including following recent cultural changes. Closely tied to lifestyle conversations, workspace design trends are making bold strides forward. It is therefore not surprising that major trade fairs this year, such as HIX event and Workplace Design Fair, will explore the subject in detail later this year.
Since you are here, places are limited for the next Hotel Designs LIVE event (which will take place virtually on August 10th). It’s free for designers, architects, hoteliers, and developers to attend – just click here to secure your place in the public (booking form takes less than two minutes).
Ahead of these key events, which will include even more group discussions moderated by Hotel designs, and since the dust has not yet fallen on how hospitality will integrate current trends in workspaces in the future, Kilburn wanted to understand early on how the new era of lifestyle leads to openness. public spaces to house co-working spaces. “Now that the world has adapted to new ways of working and consuming information, the opportunities for hotels and establishments to design flexible spaces for business and leisure have never been greater”, did he declare. “But how do you sensitively design coworking spaces that are at the same time functional, aesthetic and in line with the brand? It is a complicated subject that has several components. Therefore, we decided that for this roundtable, we would hear views from all three corners of the arena; a residential designer, a workplace designer and a hotel interior designer.
